AHO School

Full-time Professor or Associate Professor in Landscape Architecture

The Institute of Urbanism and Landscape at the Oslo School of Architecture and Design (AHO) seeks a full time, tenured Professor or Associate Professor in Landscape Architecture. The school is especially interested in a practice-oriented accomplished landscape architect who collaboratively can contribute to the teaching and research in our Landscape Architecture programme.

Candidates should have a professional degree in Landscape Architecture or equivalent extensive experience through practice, teaching and research. Candidates must document excellence in current practice, as well as a successful pedagogic agenda informed by practice on a high artistic level. In particular we call for a person that teaches a yearly cycle of studios focusing on the park- and city scale.

Furthermore, we seek applicants who are open to cooperative efforts and are able to communicate easily with colleagues and students. The successful candidate must show a willingness to contribute positively to the expanding academic milieu at the Institute of Urbanism and Landscape and the school as a whole. The teaching language at AHO’s graduate courses is English, however, knowledge of Norwegian or another Scandinavian language is desired.
