Founded in 1975 as the Institute of Garden Studies and Landscape Art, the AEP is the Association for the Landscape Architecture professionals in Spain. Is constituted by a community of professionals that work in Landscape Architecture to serve the society, from the project of new spaces to its study and management whatever the scale.
Spanish Landscape Architects Association (AEP) is constituted by a group of professionals that work in landscape to serve the society, from the project of new spaces to its study and management whatever the scale. We believe that the society deserves to have Landscape Architects to improve democracy and life quality, because with our activity we promote the respect and value of the landscape.
Our VISION is a society that, through our activity areas, grow from respect and valuation of the landscape. We face the necessity to change theway we live, work and interact with the environment. Great part of our infrastructures for the water, sewage and drainage, the waste,transportation and energy require a new planning radically different to regenerate the urban and rural communities, build healthy places,comfortable and safe, increasing social cohesion and granting a better future for all.
During the last few years we suffered the consequences from an expensive and out of reality design and without the most basic functionality. Is precisely now the time to focus on the utility and functionality of such useful and admirable tools as the harmonic and respectful design and construction, both for people and the environment.
Landscape architecture has its roots on the understanding of how the environment works and what makes every place unique. It’s a mixture of science and art, ethic and aesthetic, vision and thinking. The aim of the Spanish Association of Landscape Architects (AEP) is to build a community of professionals that work on Landscape Architecture to serve the society and generate value for our groups of interest.
