Asociația Peisagiștilor din România – AsoP România Campaign to increase the quality of green spaces in Romania

The Association of Landscapes in Romania - AsoP in partnership with e-distribuție companies started a campaign to increase the quality of green spaces inside the municipalities by protecting trees, addressing these essential components of the urban framework as true green infrastructures.

The project targets communities in the Dobrogea, Banat and Muntenia regions served by the Romanian distribution companies of the Enel group. Good management of urban vegetation decreases the risks of damage and discontinuation in the electricity supply of consumers.

Campaign started on October 29, through an urban tree management course and continues in the next period through the development of several events, online and offline, about increasing the quality of green spaces in cities.

Course on Urban Arboriculture 29-31 October 2020 was conducted in partnership with the Directorate of Public Domain Administration of Slobozia Municipality DADP Slobozia and addresses the employees of the institution. It will tackle both theoretical aspects of urban and practical vegetation management, such as visual analysis of trees, using Green Register applications, or carrying out specialised investigations such as tomography or measuring wood resistance. The course also involves carrying out cutting interventions in the tree coronation in Slobozia Municipality, under the guidance of AsoP Romania specialists and internationally certified trees,
representatives of the Romanian Arboriculture Association.
