»Cold Cities for a Hot Planet - Planning a Climate Change Resilient City«

»Cold Cities for a Hot Planet - Planning a Climate Change Resilient City«

On Tuesday, 5 October 2021, our Slovenian Association of Landscape Architects (SALA) organised an online expert conference »Cold Cities for a Hot Planet - Planning a Climate Change Resilient City«.

The conference as a sequel from the previous year continued the discussion on the importance of adapting to climate change in cities and the role of spatial planning,
this time with an emphasis on the implementation level and specific spatial solutions, which particularly address urban micro-climate regulation and biodiversity conservation.

This year three international speakers and six experts in landscape architecture and spatial planning presented their contributions, with which SALA tried to present the transfer of strategic goals of urban planning for adaptation to climate change into implementation.

More information about the conference and its contents can be found in the Conference Proceedings. The content of the conference, which was also shared live, can be viewed on the Association’s Facebook page.
