5th International Conference on“Changing Cities”Making our Cities Resilient in times of Pandemics
The series of CHANGING CITIES international conferences has started in 2013 and so far delivered 4 international conferences, always in venues with characteristic urban or/and natural landscape like the Greek Islands:

CHANGING CITIES II:Spatial, Design, Landscape, and socio-economic dimensions, 22-26 June 2015, Porto Heli, Peloponnese Greece,
CHANGING CITIES III: Spatial, Design, Landscape, and socio-economic dimensions, 26-30 June 2017, Syros Island, Greece,
CHANGING CITIES IV: Spatial, Design, Landscape, and socio-economic dimensions, 24-29 June 2019, Chania, Crete Island, Greece,
All four conferences have been welcome by the academic community of planners and architects worldwide attracting about 300 papers and over 300 presenters from more than 50 countries -from the Balkans, Northwest Europe, USA and Canada, Latin America (Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico), Middle East and North Africa, Asia, Far East (China and Japan) and Oceania (Australia, New Zealand, New Guinea). On this basis we strongly believe that the 5th Changing Cities Conference will also be an academic success.The conference aspires to bring together urban planners and designers, spatial planners, architects, landscape designers, urban geographers, urban economists, urban sociologists and urban policy makers and investigate all together new challenges concerning cities and their future. The conference aims at becoming an international forum of transaction of ideas on changing cities.
In the framework of pandemic difficulties witnessed by all of us in cities, the main conference theme is devoted to “Making our Cities Resilient in times of Pandemics”. As always, other conference thematic axis focus on

The cultural activities of the 5th conference include one-day cruise to Paxos island located close to Corfu Island.

Submission of Abstracts
The submitted abstracts will be reviewed and the authors will be notified well in advance about the outcome of the evaluation.
PAPER SUBMISSION IS OPTIONAL
Abstracts will be published in the e-book of Abstracts and full papers will be published in the e-book of Conference Proceedings, with separate ISBN numbers.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR AUTHORS
Please submit your abstracts as a Word file attachment (not a pdf file) via the online submission system.
Authors are required to submit an extended abstract paper between 400-500 words and may be submitted via the online submission system. Abstract should describe briefly the aims as well as the results and conclusions of the scientific work. Abstract must be written in clear and grammatical English and it should include the title of the paper, the name(s) and affiliation(s) of the author(s) and up to 5 keywords.
A full paper, up to 10 pages Manuscripts (oral or poster presentations) is OPTIONAL and may be submitted via the online submission system, written according to the instructions for authors. Please follow the instructions for Authors for both abstract and full paper preparation. Please notice that oral or poster presentations) and publication in the e-book of Abstracts or in the e-book of Conference Proceedings with ISBN numbers. The organizing committee is in contact with international scientific
journals and selected papers from the conference may be published in special issues, after they have been reviewed. The participants will be informed regarding this possibility by e-mail.
