GrowGreen webinar: NBS implementation – Learning from the GrowGreen cities, 26 October 2021
The webinar aims to present the experience and lessons learnt from cities in the implementation of Nature-based solutions projects.
The webinar will showcase the experience of three GrowGreen cities - namely Manchester, Valencia and Wroclaw - in implementing their nature-based solutions (NBS) demonstration projects.
In addition, the city of Campinas, Brazil will provide some insights and best practices on nature-based solutions, to foster further communication and learning beyond the GrowGreen project.
The webinar will contribute to increase understanding of the multiple benefits of NBS, as well as the challenges and opportunities encountered in order to guide and encourage the deployment of NBS in other cities and regions.
In particular, the following questions will be addressed:
- The cities’ presentation will be followed by a panel discussion moderated by IUCN
- The drivers behind the cities’ decisions to implement NBS projects
- The expected outcomes and benefits
- What has been achieved and the lessons learnt, including success stories and challenges encountered.
