IFLA Europe signs Memorandum of Understanding wtih Barcelona Biennale!
It is our pleasure to announce that IFLA Europe and International Landscape Barcelona Biennale have signed Memorandum of Understanding!
This Memorandum is aimed to further strengthen excellent cooperation and to contribute further to each others activities!
IFLA EUROPE’s purpose is to establish, promote and support the landscape architectural profession across Europe, contributing to international discourse, shaping and disseminating European initiatives, facilitating the exchange of information, whilst promoting excellence in professional practice, education and research culminating in a culturally rich, diverse and sustainable Europe.
The International Landscape Biennale of Barcelona is an initiative championed by of the Architects’ Association Catalonia (COAC) and the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya · Barcelona Tech (UPC) in order to champion the best practices in the professional and academic approach to Landscape Architecture. Barcelona Biennale offers thematically rich and diverse programme with lecturers from Europe and all around the world who present their projects and different approaches to design. Barcelona Biennale is an excellent opportunity to discuss the profession, outstanding problems and successes. The first edition of the International Landscape Biennial arose from the desire to deepen and generate debate about the landscape. Not only from an environmental point of view but also one of the motors of landscape conservation; even through landscape
architecture. Research is relevant in all the disciplinary fields that link to the study of landscape and its evolution. Each edition revolves around a central theme; a motto is chosen according to current affairs and concerns, both professional and social, related to the landscape.
Looking forward to our strengthened future cooperation and joint actions!
