IFLA World Call for Landscape Knowledge Hub contributions

IFLA World Call for Landscape Knowledge Hub contributions

For the past year, the IFLA world and IFLA Europe Professional Practice Working Groups have been hard at work on a groundbreaking project: the “Landscape Knowledge Hub” portal. This initiative aims to foster knowledge enrichment, improve information exchange and empower landscape professionals.

Its aspiration is to meet the diverse needs of a wide-ranging audience, from students and the general public to industry experts, clients and politicians.

The Landscape Knowledge Hub will become the ultimate destination for anyone seeking landscape-related case studies, research projects, university programs, job opportunities, and top-notch technical guidance. The initial progress on this project garnered widespread acclaim among the delegates of the IFLA World Council 2023 in Nairobi, leading to the formation of a dedicated Working Group.

Now, we are gearing up for the next phase of the project, focusing on building a comprehensive database of resources and content. To achieve this and bridge any language barriers, we are issuing a CALL FOR LINKS TO ONLINE RESOURCES that you find useful in your work or studies. These may be websites which help you look for:

To encourage your participation and make the process straightforward, we have created a user-friendly FORM https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdKBmkA8BAKzY3BD216mm7MrUkjL5dBsuZxkPTEOu04BpAEJw/viewform (follow also the QR-code). In this form, we ask you to provide the resource’s name, a hyperlink (the ’www’ address) and a brief description in English.

This is an ongoing and evolving effort, and your contributions will be a pivotal part of this journey. To kick-start this momentum, we kindly request your entries by the 10th of March 2024.

We encourage you to share this call with your national association members, universities, local councils, and private practices. Together, we can tap into the collective wisdom and experiences of as many landscape professionals as possible, enriching the Landscape Knowledge Hub for the benefit of all.
