The Laureates of the Latvian Landscape Architecture Award 2022 will be honoured in June
The Latvian Landscape Architecture Award 2022 (LAABA) results will be announced on June 9th , 2023, in Riga. In the interim, the 57 submitted applications will be judged based on three categories: outdoor space, processes, and a significant personalities.
The National and International Jury will evaluate the submitted applications for the second time; the first LAABA was held in 2019.
April, which is marked as the World Landscape Architecture Month, will see the beginning of the exhibition of the submitted works and the online public voting to choose the recipient of the public’s sympathy prize.
An international seminar will be held on June 8 and 9 prior to the award ceremony to discuss both historic and futuristic landscapes. On June 10, following the award ceremony, industry representatives will be taken on a professionals guided tour of Latvian landscape architecture sites. A more detailed event program will follow. We invite our international colleagues and friends to plan participants as well!
