Slovenia appoints a Council of the Minister of Environment and Spatial Planning for cooperation with NGOs
DKAS Slovenia nominated Dr Maja Simoneti for the area of spatial planning and she was elected to this position. Dr. Maja Simoneti, is a university graduate in Landscape Architecture with a PhD in Spatial and Urban Planning. She has worked for thirty years at the strategic and operational level of the state, municipalities and individual types of spatial interventions, has organised and coordinated large interdisciplinary working groups for the needs of the implementation of the most complex spatial interventions and development of spatial activities, has a Master’s degree in public involvement in the management of public green spaces. As an active advocate of public interests in landscape and spatial planning, she has been involved in virtually all processes of drafting and implementation, building, environmental and related substantive legislation since 1995. More recently, she has focused on sustainable urban development, green and other public space management systems and climate resilience, as well as health advocacy in spatial planning and active mobility.
