- On 8 February 2023, the ČAKA Board organized a professional workshop entitled RURAL LANDSCAPE - SPACE FOR LIFE. The organisers were Klára Salzmann from the Institute of Landscape Architecture, Faculty of Architecture, Czech Technical University, and Zuzana Skřivanová from the Czech-Moravian Land Consolidation Chamber. The workshop focused on agricultural landscapes from different perspectives. Under the overarching theme of environmental quality, the workshop focused on processes and tools that can influence the agricultural landscape - agricultural policy, land use planning, land development, nature conservation. A total of 15 speakers took the floor with a general summary of the main issues defining the problems of agricultural landscapes, followed by a session dedicated to land consolidation process, and to various approaches to landscape planning in the Czech Republic. Finally, a lively round table with recommendations for further action was held.

The up-to-dateness of the topic and the need for the discussion was also evident thanks to the number of registered participants who filled the large hall at the FA CTU. A total of 165 people attended, mainly from the ranks of mayors, state and local government officials, farmers, land consolidation planners, landscape architects, spatial planners, and students.
