Remiseparken by BOGL wins Danish Landscape Architecture Award 2021
BOGL & Remiseparken wins the anniversary edition of the Danish Landscape Award. The renewal of Remiseparken is part of a major area transformation of the Urban Plan on Amager, and the project has been developed in collaboration with Rambøll and SNE Architects with Copenhagen municipality as the visionary builder.
The winning project shows how green urban spaces with one single grip can climate protect cities, increase biodiversity and ensure social sustainability. The Danish Landscape Prize 2021 was awarded on 18. November at a prize and debate event in Copenhagen, where Remiseparken and the two other finalists, Gellerup New Nature Park by SLA + EFFEKT and Forecourt to KB Hallen by Marianne Levinsen Landskab, was presented.
Excerpt from the jury statement: The Remiseparken has particularly impressed the jury. We are enthusiastic about the level of detail and the credible, convincing aesthetics, design and execution on site. The project is a spacious space with many refined details. Programs and technical aspects, among other things, rainwater management, are woven together in a coherent whole, which on a relatively small scale provides space for gardens, skate elements, play areas, living spaces, intimate ambiences, and walking paths. The Remiseparken offers a sense of quality, space, aesthetics and experiences beyond the ordinary and is an exquisite example of how many different considerations, functional requirements and wishes can be synthesized in a rich experience.
Danish Landscape Architecture Award is presented in collaboration between Park- og Naturforvalterne, Danish Association of Architectural Firms and The Association of Danish Landscape Architects, also the secretariat of the Danish Landscape Architecture Award. Danish Landscape Architecture Award 2021 comes with a cheque of 50.000 Danish Kroner.
