Slovenian Association of Landscape Architects (DKAS) celebrates 30th anniversary
On 18 May 2022, as part of the 30th anniversary, the Slovenian Association of Landscape Architects (DKAS) organised an expert conference “Landscape Design for Green Transition”. On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the association, it is also organising a professional excursion to the Obsotelje & Kozjansko Biosphere Reserve, which will take place in October.
The aim of the conference was to present the key landscape challenges of the Green Transition and landscape design as an expert basis for addressing them successfully. In the spatial planning process, it is essential to have well-defined strategic objectives on the basis of which scenarios are developed to achieve them, and it is the task of landscape architects and planners to evaluate alternatives with appropriate approaches and tools. Spatial solutions must simultaneously respond to the objectives of the Green Transition and preserve the quality, identity and representation of the landscape.
