Swedish and Kenyan landscape architecture through new creative methods event 10 April 2021!

Emergent Interaction #02

Explore Swedish and Kenyan landscape architecture through new creative methods!

Students from Architect Sweden and Architectural Association of Kenya invite you to join students in the build environment from Kenya and Sweden on 10 April 2021 from 10.00 to 14.00hrs for a one day creative workshop where we will focus and explore Kenyan and Swedish landscape architecture through new interactive sessions cross borders.

Guided by the Swedish landscape architecture collective Dis/Order we will go on a journey where we together identify and test new ways of collaborating, visualizing ideas and explore how we can use landscape architecture to create new ways of achieving a more democratic, united and sustainable world, together.

We will work in mixed teams with a task that you will be provided in the beginning of the session. We promise you, this will not just be the usual ZOOM session, we will give you something out of the ordinary, where we enable you to meet and connect with Sweden and Kenya and hopefully leave with new inspirations, ideas and new friends.

Lunch will be reimbursed and we will also ask you to prepare some materials before the session. More information will be sent out on the 7th of April, so keep an eye out.
The ideas presented during the workshop will also be published in an online exhibition that is part of a unique collaboration between Architectural Association of Kenya (AAK) and Architects Sweden. In 2023 we will co-host the first bilateral IFLA (International Federation of Landscape Architects) World Congress in Nairobi and Stockholm.

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar.
