Territories celebrate 30 years of the Landscape Law

On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Landscape Law, take part in the seminar “The territories celebrate 30 years of the landscape law” in Strasbourg/Vosges du Nord from October 18 to 20, 2023.

The year 2023 marks the 30th anniversary of the law on the protection and development of landscapes, known as the “Landscape law”, which made it possible to anchor the landscape in the territories and recognize it as an essential component of quality. of life of the populations. The “Landscape law” has in fact established objectives for the protection and enhancement of landscapes, both remarkable and everyday, and has given legal scope to the charter of Regional Natural Parks by establishing a compatibility relationship between the charter of a regional natural park and town planning documents.

To celebrate this anniversary, several events are planned: at the national level, on June 12 in Paris, the launch event was held on the site of the Cité universitaire, in the presence of Bérangère Couillard, Secretary of State for ecology, and with the participation of Michaël Weber, President of the Federation of Regional Natural Parks (FPNR). Several
announcements were made on this occasion to reaffirm the strong role of the territorial project as a guarantor of a quality landscape.

Echoing this national event, the MTECT, the FPNR and the Vosges du Nord Regional Natural Park wanted to organize an event in the territories from October 18 to 20, under the title “The territories celebrate 30 years of the landscape law” . This event will notably highlight the importance of the urban-rural link and the positioning of regional natural parks on the issue of landscape.
