WORLD LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE MONTH IN TURKEY| LANDSCAPE FOR ALL LIVING BEINGS
Since 26 April 2022 is Frederick Law Olmsted’s 200th birthday, it will be a year of the landscapes which are designed by Olmsted. Because of the climate crisis that greatly reduces our living comfort and threatens the lives of not only humans but also all beings, we have determined the theme of World Landscape Architecture Month for 2022 as “Landscape for All Living Beings”.
The duties of our profession, which is responsible for fully meeting the theme of “Landscape for All Living Beings”; It contributes significantly to creating a livable environment for all living things, repairing ecosystems, ensuring biodiversity, ensuring the sustainability of water, combating drought, adapting to climate change and reducing its effects.
In this context, April will be celebrated with various events in all countries affiliated to the International Federation of Landscape Architecture EUROPE and awareness activities on landscape architecture will be carried out.
