Profession

Owner of Teiknistofan Storð ehf / Stord landscape since 1998.

Working field: Landscape design for housing, playground, school yards, kindergardens, project supervision, landscape, spatial nd site planning.

FÍLA

President of Association of the Icelandic Landscape Architects FÍLA 2013-2016. Over the last 20 years involved with professional practice issues in Iceland for FÍLA.

IFLA Europe/IFLA World

Past Vice President IFLA Europe 2015-2019. Attended to all IFLA Europe General Assemblies since Berlin 2013 as well as IFLA World Congresses in Buenos Aires 2014 and Moscow 2015; Torino 2016, Montreal 2017 and Oslo 2019.

Other activities

From 2003 to 2005 worked as Assistant Professor for Landscape architecture at the Agricultural University in Iceland (AUI) and responsible for ECLAS for the University. Lectures at The Icelandic Horticultural College Reykir in Hveragerði.

Personal

Living in Reykjavík in Iceland. Widower since 2012 and have two daughters, the older one living in New York and the younger one living in Reykjavik. Has two dogs and in October 2019 he became grandfather.
