Dryland

The photo is located in Seriphos, a small island in the archipelago of Cyclades, Greece. There lies the Holy Monastery of Evangelistria on the top of the hill. In the past, each house had its ow coop, sheep and garden with vegetables, olives, lemons and even behives. To this day, the whole cycladitic landscape is carved with dry stone walls, the traditional system of marking private area properties, making visible the existence of few shepherds and farmers practicing traditional way of living.
