2022 Cat A - Call of the Wild

Today, Rimini is facing many problems: lack of connections with its hinterland, traffic congestion, air pollution, and declining biodiversity.
The main idea of the concept is to increase biodiversity and create a good-quality green system through the creation of new habitats for animals, revitalization of watercourses, establishment of urban grazing, and new pedestrian and cycling links. Instead of now fragmented and (unused) green city space, urban pastures are introduced for sheep, horses, donkeys, cattle, poultry and alpacas to graze on.
A vital green system would improve the life quality in the city and increase biodiversity. Locals, visitors and tourists would thus enjoy the even greener city, take a walk along the revitalized streams and observe the animals grazing in the middle of the city.
